The 2018 NASCAR season will be here before we know it! And as the regular season approach, we’re already seeing the rivalries heat up and the stars begin to shape.
One of the most talked about driver rivalries this year is between Kyle Busch and Martin Truex, Jr. The bad blood between these two began at the end of last season and heated up as both men are seeking a spot in NASCAR‘s playoffs. This season, these two will be competing for position in both the Truck Series and the Xfinity Series and it’s sure to be a battle royal.
But while we’re on the subject of rivalries, let’s not forget about Brad Kessels versus Kyle Larson. These two have been at loggerheads since the start of the season as they each seek to prove who is the better driver. It’s sure to be a heated battle as both men are looking to secure a top-five spot in the standings this year.
Then we have the battle of the back roads. Justin Allensworth and Matt Crafton are the final two teams with NASCAR licenses in Piqua, Ohio. These two towns are located right next to each other and each year they hold a race that follows the same road circuit, but on different days.
The two races generally end up going head-to-head with one another. The teams, drivers and owners from Piqua often show up at the other to support their driver and it’s sure to be a lot of fun, especially for the fans.
