How To Get To Atlanta Motor Speedway? [Expert Review!]

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to see the inside of an Atlanta Motor Speedway. The thing is, the closest I’ve ever been is when they were hosting car shows in the parking lot. I’ve been to a Formula 1 race in Canada, and even though it was breathtaking to see the cars in motion, I wouldn’t exactly call it a must-see. The same goes for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Sure, I’ve seen replays of historic races over the years on TV, but I’ve never been there myself. I guess the closest I’ll ever get to experiencing a NASCAR race is from the comfort of my own couch.

That’s exactly what makes this year’s Atlanta Motor Speedway Experience so exciting. For the first time in almost a decade, the NASCAR mega-brand is holding an event outside North America. What’s more is it’s one of the biggest races of the year, and tickets are on sale now!

With the help of my good pal Jordan, I thought I’d share with you all the information you need to know about getting to Atlanta Motor Speedway this year.

The Race

You’ve probably heard of the Daytona 500 a few times over the years. It’s one of the biggest and most well-known NASCAR races of the season. This year will mark the 84th running of the event, which is held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The Atlanta Motor Speedway race is the second-largest of the season, and it takes place approximately four weeks after the Daytona 500. The 2019 season will mark the 90th running of the Atlanta Motor Speedway race, and it will be held on Thursday, February 28th. The 2019 race will mark the 25th anniversary of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The race will feature the best cars and drivers in the sport, competing for $1 million in prize money. It’s an exciting, fast-paced race that will surely leave you craving more. For those of you who love adrenaline rushes, this is the race you want to see.

Getting To The Racetrack

If you want to see the 2019 Atlanta Motor Speedway race firsthand, you need to get to the track. Thankfully, the best way to do that is by car. Unfortunately, you can’t just walk there from downtown Atlanta. Fortunately, there is an alternative. You can take the MARTA rail system to the track’s blue line station. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the entrance.

On game days, the station will be closed off, and only ticketed fans will be allowed inside. Bus shuttles will also be available, which will run between the stadium and the MARTA rail station. It’s a quick and easy way to get to the race, without having to worry about traffic or parking.

Getting To The Stadium

The best way to see the inside of the stadium is by getting a tour. Most tracks offer guided tours of their facilities, give you the opportunity to walk around and check out all the cool stuff, and even get to sit down and speak with some of the professionals who work there. The downside is that you have to book these tours well in advance.

If you want to avoid this hassle, there is an alternative. You can take the tour online, or you can join a special fan club and get access to all the tour information when it’s available. If you’d like, you can also sit down with the people who work at the track and get a sense of what it’s like to be a driver or crew member there. You can contact the ticketing department of the track, and they will be happy to help you out.

Getting To And From The Stadium

Once you’re inside the stadium, there is more than one way you can get around. If you’ve never been there, it’s easy to get confused. However, once you get a sense of where things are, you will have no problem navigating the grounds. You can take the walkway over to the grandstands, or you can catch a ride on the nearby golf cart. You won’t need a vehicle to get around the stadium though. The best way to explore all the nooks and crannies is on foot. You can also take the sky walkway to the terrace, which overlooks the entire field. It connects the stadium to the Legends’ Plaza, where you can get a photo with some famous racing cars. You won’t miss any of the action, with this view.

If you want a birds-eye view of the entire field, you can catch a ride on one of the stadium’s signature golden cars. These are actual taxis from a bygone era, and they will take you on a tour of the track’s exterior. The only downside is that you have to book these tours well in advance, and you have to pay for them yourself. Still, it’s a unique opportunity to see the field from a different perspective.

What To Take

Now that you’ve got your tickets, what else do you need to bring? Well, you need equipment, of course. You won’t be able to watch the race without a television set, and you’ll need something to watch it on. If you’re going to the stadium, you can bring your own set or rent one for $10. Most tracks provide you with a wireless keyboard and mouse, so you can connect to the internet while you’re there. You also need a valid ID, as these are government-run facilities and you’ll need to show it upon entry. If you get lost or distracted, you can get in trouble, and the penalty is steep. Still, you’ll have a great time, so don’t worry about breaking any rules. Just make sure you’re prepared for what is essentially a glorified car show.
