Do you ever wonder what your passcode is on Speedway, or any other mobile security app? Or, perhaps you’ve tried to use a feature on a mobile device that requires a passcode, but nothing happens? Don’t worry — we’re only going to tell you the ways to see your passcode on Speedway, and possibly some other apps as well. If you want to try out these methods, you can continue reading. Otherwise, feel free to skip to the next section.
Use Your Passcode On The App-Lock Screen
The most straightforward way to see your passcode is to simply open the app and try to use the feature that requires the passcode. As you may have guessed, most mobile apps will show you a screen with a request for a passcode or password when you first open them. To test this out, open the App Store on your iPhone or Android device, and search for “speedway”. Once the app is listed, tap on it to open it up. You’ll then be presented with a login screen as seen below.
As you can see, the login screen only asks for your email address and password. It does not request a passcode, and if you’ve ever used Speedway you’ll know that your email and password are all that’s needed for login. If you’ve never used Speedway, or this method of logging in doesn’t work for you, try another app-locking method described below.
Log In With Your Apple ID
If you use Apple products, you can take advantage of their unique login method. As the name implies, Apple ID is the Apple-managed account you use to log into all Apple products and services. With your Apple ID, you can use the iOS app Swipe to log in to any Apple product or service that supports the feature. This includes Apple TV, iTunes, and the App Store among others.
In order to use Swipe to log in to the App Store, you must have a working iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch) that is connected to the internet. Open up the App Store on your device, and you’ll be presented with a login screen as seen below. Once you log in with your Apple ID, you’ll be taken directly to the App Store.
Swiping to log in is the simplest, and arguably most convenient, way to authenticate on any Apple product or service. It’s easy to remember and use, and since Apple ID is a trusted identity it cannot be easily forgotten or lost. Not every app supports using Apple ID, but those that do make it very easy to login. If you use Apple products and services frequently, Swipe can really save you time and effort when logging in to non-Apple apps and sites.
Log In With Your Gmail Account
If you use Gmail as your email account, you can take advantage of their unique login method as well. Gmail is a popular, free email service owned by Google that offers multiple login options including Facebook, Google, and email addresses. To log in to the App Store with your Gmail account, you must have a working iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch) that is connected to the internet and running the latest software update. Open up the App Store on your device, and you’ll be presented with a login screen as seen below. Once you log in with your Gmail account, you’ll be taken directly to the App Store.
Gmail Login is one of the more recent methods of logging in devised by the folks at Google. It’s a simple and easy-to-use method, especially since all you need to do to login is link your email account to your Google account. Once you do that, you can use your Google credentials to login to the App Store with email authentication. Like Apple ID, your Gmail account is a trusted identity that can be used to login to many sites and services with your mobile device. If you frequently login to the App Store and other Google-owned services with your Gmail account, this method will save you a great deal of time and effort. It’s also the best way to login to the App Store if you use multiple devices as you do sometimes.
Use Another Method
Mobile security apps don’t always support the traditional methods of logging in, especially since they are usually designed to protect your personal information. Luckily, there are other methods that can be used to see your passcode on speedway. If none of the above methods work for you, you can always resort to the old school way of entering your passcode on the login screen — but we recommend against it.
If you’re the type of person who writes down or memorizes their passcode, you’re going to want to avoid using the same password across multiple services and apps. Doing so leaves you open to account takeover attacks. To prevent this from happening, simply change your password every month or so.
There are many different ways to see your passcode on speedway. One of the simplest and most straightforward methods is to use your passcode on the app-lock screen. If this method doesn’t work, you can always try another option. Or, if you use an Apple product, you can log in with your Apple ID or Gmail account. If Gmail isn’t available, you can use your email address to log in to the App Store directly. If you get tired of entering your password every time you login to the App Store, you can use Google Login to quickly and easily log in to the App Store with your email address and password.
See Your Passcode On The Home Screen
When you first download and use speedway, you’ll be presented with a screen that shows a list of the apps you’ve installed on your device as well as a button that allows you to quickly access your settings. On this screen, you can see your passcode as well as other security-related information as seen below.
If none of the methods described above work for you and you want to see your passcode on the home screen quickly, you can always enter it on the login screen. This way, you won’t have to find the app and open it every time you want to use a feature that requires a passcode.
As you can see, speedway shows you a variety of information about your device. Below, you can see the device’s model number, the device maker, the operating system, the iPhone version, as well as the number of storage spaces available on the device. You can also see your available bandwidth as well as the time remaining on your battery. If you’re the type of person who travels a lot for work, you can see how much data you’ve used along with the cost of such data with the Usage Stats feature.
Check The Settings Menu
The Settings menu on speedway is fairly self-explanatory. It allows you to adjust various settings for the app including the types of accounts you’ll use to login, security features, notifications, and more. In order to access the Settings menu, you must have a working internet connection and your phone must be on. If you turn on two-factor authentication, you’ll need to enter a verification code that is sent to your phone’s email address after you login with your credentials.
The Security menu on the app allows you to toggle the following features:
- Two-factor authentication
- Device authentication
- FIDO U2F Security
- SMS authentication
- Digicert Certification
- Password hint
- Reset password
- Change security question
- Forgot security question
- Delete account
- Emergency access
- Remote wipe
- Encrypt all data
- Backup
- Restore
- Auto-lock after 5 minutes
- Auto-lock after 1 hour
As you can see, the Settings menu on speedway allows you to control the following features:
