If you ever thought that NASCAR was just for little old white guys with funny accents, then boy, do we have some good news for you. Not only is NASCAR available on streaming services, but you can also find all the races from the entire season right on your mobile device, tablet or computer! It’s time to set your DVR, because it’s going to be a wild ride.
Step One: Find The Right Channel
While NASCAR is available on a number of traditional TV channels, it’s best to find the one that has the most races on it. For example, if you live in the United States, you can check out ESPN or FOX Sports to find the most NASCAR races. If you’re looking for a channel that’s a little less mainstream, try going with the ESPN app or UFC Pay-Per-View (try holding down the RIGHT button on your remote control while searching for the channel).
Step Two: Set Your DVR Timing
Depending on when you want to see the race, you’ll need to set your DVR to record it. These days, most people use digital video recorders (DVRs) to stream TV shows and recordings of sporting events. If you don’t have a DVR, then be sure to look into buying one. As a general rule of thumb, try setting your DVR to record the shows a few hours before they’re actually supposed to air. That way, you’ll be sure to catch the action.
Step Three: Check The Menu Of Your Sling Box Or PC
The digital interfaces for cable TV are getting better and better. Most people these days will use a remote control to access their cable channels, and many of those remotes have a search function on them. You can enter the channel number for the race you want to see and press the search button. A few seconds later, the screen will fill with all the shows and recordings that are scheduled to air in the next couple of days.
Step Four: Enjoy Your Viewing Experience
When you find the race you want to watch, hit the PLAY button to start it. If you have a DVR, then the race will start automatically. If you’re watching the event live, you’ll either have to wait for the race to start or click the RECORD button on your remote control to start recording it. Once the race is over, hit the PLAY button again to watch the replay. Just remember: these things are time-consuming. So, have patience.
The above steps will get you started. From there, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the show. Remember: no matter what, please never comment on a racing driver’s physique. It’s vulgar and often times, dangerous (you could accidentally hit them in the spine with your jibe).
