What Are The Best Seats At Martinsville Speedway? [Answered!]

If you’re looking to buy tickets for the highly anticipated NASCAR Grand Prix at Martinsville Speedway, then it’s important to know where you’ll be sitting! We analyzed the best available seating for the Nov. 4th race using our Heat Maps and compared them to other NASCAR tracks to determine the best and worst seats at each venue. Here’s what we found.

Martinsville Best Seats

The best seats at Martinsville Speedway are located in the front row of the track’s grandstands. Not only do they provide great views of the action, but the track is only half a mile long and cars pass by quickly.

The downside is that the seats in the front row are far from perfect. They’re far from ideal for watching a sporting event. If you sit in the front row at Martinsville, you’ll have your back to the track and there’s no such thing as a perfect view. The end result is that you’ll never know exactly what’s going on unless you move around or get up and walk to the front of the stand. The good news is there are other options for great seating at the track!

The Pits

The pits at Martinsville are in an awkward location. They’re far away from the action and there’s a lot of walking involved in order to get to your seat. Once you’re there though, all you have is the view of the track and some equipment. You won’t feel as connected to the events unfolding in front of you as you would from one of the front row grandstands.

The upside is that the walk is only a few minutes and it’s a scenic stroll to the pits. The downside is there’s nothing interesting to look at in the pits and you’ll be forced to focus solely on the race. The same rules about moving around apply here as they do at the front of the grandstands.

The Tailgate

The tailgate on the outside of the racetrack at Martinsville is another great option. Not only do you get the full experience of being at the race track, but you also get the cool breeze blowing across your face as you watch the cars speed by. The downside is that you won’t be able to see very much from the tailgate. You’ll either have to sit on the floor or lean against the wall for the best possible viewing angle.

The upside is that you get to walk a little ways to get to the tailgate. The downside is that you have to settle for either floor or wall seating.

Dodge City Best Seats

The best seats at Dodge City are in the grandstands, but they’re somewhat hidden. You may find it hard to believe, but the stands at Dodge City are actually a bit shorter than the ones at the other tracks. This makes the upper deck appear lower than it really is. You won’t get a whole lot of bang for your buck here, but still, the best seats are in the front row.

The downside is that you have to make the trek to the other end of the stadium to get to these seats. They’re not the best located in the ballpark, but the view from them is worth the walk. The good news is that there are more options for great seats here than there are at the other tracks. You won’t be bored at Dodge City!

Owen Best Seats

The best seats at OWEN are in the front row. Not only do you get to see the entire track from these seats, but the action is right in front of you as well. There are no blind spots in front of you here, so you’ll always know what’s going on.

The downside is that these seats are quite a bit closer to the track than the ones at the other tracks. You’ll either have to get up and move around a lot or else lean your head against the wall to see over the top of the stands. The good news is that there are no bad seats at Owen, so no matter where you sit, you’ll have a good view of the action.

Dover Best Seats

The best seats at Dover are in the upper deck. Not only do you get a great view of the track, but you can also see the entire grandstand. You won’t be cramped here either, as the upper deck is more than a mile long. This is the longest of the five NASCAR tracks, so you can bet there’s a lot of walking involved as well as standing.

The downside is that just like the other four tracks, there are no perfect seats at Dover. You’ll either have to sit in the grandstands or in the bleachers in the back. There are no bad seats here either, so no matter where you sit, you’ll have a good view of the race. Unless you want to sit in the front row, that is.

The good news is that there’s a lot of options for great seats at Dover. Just take your pick of the available options and you’ll have a great night watching a NASCAR race.

What About The Roost?

Does the name Roost mean anything to you? If not, then maybe you should try making it a part of your vocabulary. The Roost at Daytona is a great spot for high-speed crashes and spectacular burns. The same can be said about the Roost at Talladega and other similar structures. At those venues, you’ll either have to dive for cover as soon as the lights go out or else you’ll end up getting run over by something exciting.

The location of the Roost is important too. It gets its name from the fact that once you step into the trap, you’re basically at the mercy of gravity. You won’t be able to see over or around the Roost, unless you want to get badly injured or killed. Fortunately, most of the injuries and deaths occur among people who are in the habit of diving into these types of structures on purpose. Those who get injured or killed usually do so because they ignored the “ROst” in their instructions and went racing anyway. Don’t be a dummy and listen to what the engineers say!
